Rick A. Niec is Senior Vice President, Forward Planning, at Griffin Living.
Based in Calabasas, California, Rick focuses on developing new projects in the Western United States, spearheading land acquisition, architecture and engineering issues, land planning, municipal entitlements, financial proformas, and market analyses.
Throughout his career, Rick has overseen $7 billion in real estate development and has been responsible for the development of over 10,000 homes. He has served as division president for several high volume builders, including Marlborough Development, Brock Homes, and Ryland Homes.
Rick has served as president of the Building Industry Association–Los Angeles/Ventura Chapter and was a board member of the organization’s Government Affairs Committee for more than 30 years. He is also a veteran, having served as an officer in the United States Air Force.
Outside of work with Griffin Living, Rick works with community organizations to provide housing assistance to seniors in need.
Rick holds a BS in Civil Engineering and a BS in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
